About Us
Our ‘origins’ go back to 1987 ,, when we started out as ‘PICK Systems’ , based on an ‘Operating System’ , not heard of these days , we then became a Christchutch branch of ‘Eclipse Technology’ , a big player in the early days of the exploding PC Market. About 1994 , Paragon started , with the aim of providing better support to the PC/ Windows Networks , that we saw as the future path of Small Business Networks.
Owner Graeme Walcott , managed to steer the business from starting as a ‘one-man band’ , through until recent times , when he was joined by Riki Browning. Riki had done work-experience with us in his ‘Uni days’ , worked for Paragon for a couple of years , did his ‘OE’ ,, then came home , to add some brains to the company , and is now co-owner.
We have 6 technicians , and a wide range of clients. We look after ‘Public Listed Companies’ , preferred suppliers to large schools , have a client listed in the “Time Magazine’ top inventions of the year , companies who have gone form 4 or 5 PC’s , to a nationwide Network of over 100 PC’s. We are recommended as supplier of CAD systems , and we regularly see our clients win National awards , using our PC’s !! We also sell ‘Home PC’s , mainly to our contacts , who know they will get a good value system , but more importantly , great back-up.
We have also looked after Networks for Canterbury Cricket , Canterbury Hockey , Canterbury Basketball and Canterbury Rugby League.
And – we’re still here …
